DCU Performing Arts Is a consultancy entity that offers planning, development and organization of events for Drum corps and marching bands around GCC and the Middle East.

We are the Only licensed organization in the Middle East who has official partnership with international organizations responsible for providing professional consultation on music programs and marching bands shows design and implementation.

From YOLLA dance of UAE, To AL ARDAH from Saudi Arabia , Sword dance of Qatar, to the Middle Eastern DABKEH, we combine our shows to be closer to your audience with dance and music that hits the roots of their souls.

It’s a Musical marching unit consisting of brass instruments, percussion instruments, synthesizers, and color guard (which uses props, along with movement, to express dynamic passages in the music accompanying the marching band show).

Drum corps/bands perform in competitions, parades, festivals, and other civic functions. Participants of all ages are represented within the band activity, but the majority are between the ages of 13 and 22.

Al Yolla , AL ARDAH , SWORD DANCE 

All of these traditional dances of GCC countries has many thing in common as  It’s performed by a group of men using their sticks, swords or sometimes rifles. With rhythmic stepping to the beats of traditional musical instruments like the doumbek – which is made of ceramic and goatskin. It’s used as a percussion instrument.

Since the color guards  and those dances  has the same concept of using the props to play and dance.

The signature and most unique aspect of DCU , is the combination of traditional GCC dance with contemporary color guard choreography.

DCU had made it mark by tailoring special programs that comes from the Arabic and khaliji  cultural heritage and combining it with the modern international one, that reflects the variety of cultures and nationalities within the our community.
